Golden Globes Results!

I love these girls!

I love these girls!

I don’t think I’ve laughed so much for an awards show. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler should host more often. There were several surprises (“Girls” over “Modern Family,”) a few disappointments (Leo Dicaprio NOT winning), and a lot of laughs (Amy Poehler to Anne Hathaway – “I have not seen someone so totally alone and abandoned since you were on stage with James Franco at the Oscars”).

There were some awesome speeches, namely from Adele, Jodi Foster, Anne Hathaway, and Jessica Chastain. All women, no less. 🙂 Too many great ones to choose from, but I especially love what Jessica had to say to Kathryn Bigelow: “When u make a film that allows your character to disobey the conventions of Hollywood, you’ve done more for women in cinema than you take credit for.” Love it!

Also, this happened:

If you missed it, catch it online (though they’ll bleep and forward through a lot of the awkward parts that made it so good, i.e., when Paul Rudd and Salma Hayek have technical difficulties announcing Best dramatic television show ) OR catch the highlights. They’re worthy enough.

To recap, here are the results from tonight’s award winners:
